Found Friday - Well, that's different ...

In the past year, fewer and fewer “found” items, grocery lists, sticky tab notes, homework, love notes and reminders, have been turning up. I have no idea why this is. In times past, at least one interesting scrap of paper has been found on every trip out to the grocery store or a neighboring state. But the pickings have been slim to none lately. So, until the scavenging improves, you might find a particularly fine “found” photograph from over in LOST GALLERY on each Found Friday. Just to fill in the gaps.

So many things in this world that we don't think about.

Saturday's Child - The Big Chair

Saturday's Child - The Classics. Children of the past in the brightly lit studio of the mysterious photographer and his curious equipment.

Dressed in their Sunday Best clothes, they try to understand the smiling photographer and the stern-jawed parent, standing behind the camera, filling the room with their instructions. Look this way, no, THIS way! Hold still. Put your foot there, no THERE! Hold STILL! Close your mouth. Don't blink your eyes. Hold Still!

For a few Saturdays, follow LOST GALLERY into the studio of the 19th century photographer with some expressive youngsters who just can't help being a kid.

An important grocery list written on the back of a rather inquisitive form.
